xxxHolic Ep 11

In this episode, our characters celebrate Ochugen (お中元), an annual event (July 15th) in Japan whereby gifts are presented to one’s boss or acquaintences …

As expected, Watanuki prepared some wonderful Ohagi (rice balls covered with sweet bean) for our lovely Yuko-san and friends … Interestingly, this episode’s storyline is closely tied to the Ohagi made by Watanuki …

Our cute Himawari-chan is on holiday … so she’s missing in this episode …
BUT … no worries …
This episode also marks the first appearace of the uber cute Vestal spirit (Zashiki-Warashi 座敷童) that has a crush on Watanuki … Trust me .. she’s cute ^^ and finally … an episode whereby the spirit that appears infront of Watanuki is not scary but cute.
Personally, I feel that Watanuki and the Vestal spirit makes a better couple …

Well the vestal spirit does creates some commotion when she removes the ohagi that was eaten from Doumeki’s body, accidentally removing his soul also … but who can blame such a cute vestal spirit …. all she wanted was to present the ohagi to Watanuki as an Ochugen gift (even though the Ohagi was made by Watanuki in the first place).
Finally, our Rain Spirit (Ame-Warashi) appears (n as usual hits Watanuki on the head with her umbrella) … she reminds the Vestal Spirit that Ochugen is not the correct occasion for giving gifts to her crush …
LOL … wat a scatterbrain the vestal spirit is … =P … but who cares? she’s CUTE! kawaiiiii

Oh man … who cares whatever is the occasion … I would be happie anyday if such a cutie gave me a gift …

For this episode, I would give it a 9/10 …

Ah yesh …. back to one of my favourite series from CLAMP

Its the summer vacation and the weather is killing our lovely Yuko-san … In the summer, whats the best thing u can come up with for some fun?
YES! In this episode … our characters engage in 100 Tales of Horror (Hyaku Monogatari　百物語) in the temple where Doumeki resides …

As usual … Our protagonist Watanuki, the spirits magnet, draws in unwanted guest as the story telling progresses …

Check out Himawari-chan in her yukata … she’s looks cute !

I would consider this episode to be rather well done … but personally I prefer the manga version of this story …
